Harry Potter

I had the chance to read through the Harry Potter books when I with Grandma at the hospital. I thought the reason I liked books 1-3 best was because I read them as a child/young teen. Turns out that no, books 1-3 are (IMHO) far better than books 4-6, even reading them as an adult. And book six still sucks. (Although book 5 is still my least favorite. I couldn't even get through it...I kept skimming it.)
I've been reading a lot of HP fanfic, some old Snape/Harry, a little Snape/Lupin. There is a Snape/Draco story I read years ago and can't find....it's quite long, and follows their relationship from before Draco was born. IIRC, Draco was physically weak, a lot of allergies and asthma, and maybe he was part Veela? (Although I could be mixing two fic, there.) Anyway, I want to find it, and I can't. It probably isn't as good as I remembered, though.
I wrote a really long, really bad Harry/Draco fic six years ago. A friend of mine had a copy and loved it, and out of the blue, asked if I was going to finish it. Now I stopped liking H/D years ago and it's been sitting abandoned on my harddrive since then. So I opened it up, just to see what I could do with it, and OH MY GOD. It is such a peice of shit. It is a cliched, tear-soaked, sappy mess. The thought of re-writing it to make it presentable makes me a little sick, so it's just going to have to remain unfinished.
